Barcelona attractions

  • Highlights of Barcelona

Make the most of your trip to beautiful Barcelona with these ideas to explore what the cosmopolitan city and its coastal surroundings has to offer…

And for even more inspiration, visit:

  • Climb the Three Crosses in Park Güell

Stroll around Park Güell, where the Gaudi House is located, and head to “Tres Crues” which is the highest point in the park for a breathtaking panorama of Barcelona. This is a great spot to get sunset views of the city, so bring your camera, and enjoy!

    Explore the Gothic Quarter

Also referred to as Barri Gotic, it is one of the oldest parts of the city with many buildings dating back to the Middle Ages and is made up of a labyrinth of narrow streets. It is easy to get lost (without really getting lost) and spend a whole day exploring. Make sure you visit the Barcelona Cathedral.

    Visit La Sagrada Familia

This is possibly the most iconic tourist attraction in Barcelona and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is one of the best works of Antoni Gaudí, a Catalan architect, who is well known for its out of this world architectural design. This church is still under construction and they are hoping to complete it on 2026, exactly a century after Gaudí’s death.
  • Enjoy drinks with a view

Views of Barcelona are simply stunning and the city is home to a number of rooftop bars for this reason. The W Hotel has a great bar overlooking the beachfront and cocktails at the Condes de Barcelona Hotel: Alaire Terrace bar which has direct views of Gaudí’s La Pedrera and Sagrada Familia.

    Indulge your senses

At one of Barcelona’s most popular attractions, La Boqueria Market, a public market located just off “Las Ramblas”, It’s home to a number of prepared and fresh food vendors as well as fantastic, casual places to eat. Between the vibrant colours, sounds and smells… walking inside is a sensory experience.

    Taste of Barcelona

Barcelona has one thing clear; it’s all about the food and also the drink. Which is why it is no surprise that Catalan cuisine won the much deserved title of “European Gastronomy Region 2016”. Try “El Nacional” and “Ciudad Condal” they are our personal favourites.
